Many EU new Member States have only recently shifted from being recipients of Development Assistance to a role of International Donors. A transition process which New Member States have successfully concluded in the recent past, provides them with a valuable knowledge of transition and the EU accession best practices.
The conference on “Development Assistance Operators from the new Member States: Experience, trends and challenges”. was conceptualized to provide a common ground for stakeholders involved in development assistance from “old” and “new” Member States, to meet and tackle the above mentioned matters.
This conference aimed to examine the needs of the New Member States to design their development assistance policies and to explore best practices of institutional arrangements for the assistance implementation.
