The third panel of the Brussels briefing on “New drivers, new players in ACP rural development” examined the current trends of aid effectiveness, alignment and harmonization among donors.
After the experience of the World Platform Development Donors and the Japanese International Cooperation Agency, Mr. Amadou Diallo has presented the role of NEPAD in the search of the aid effectiveness for the agricultural sector.
Mr. Diallo has underlined that the agricultural sector must be the core element of the development programs.
Therefore, the African leaders have developed an integral program for the development of the agricultural sector in Africa (CAADP) as a fundamental structure of NEPAD.
