A two-day workshop took place in Banjul, the Gambia, on the 28-29th April, attended by representatives from the national Ministry of Finance (National Authorizing Officer Office), donors (DfID and the EC Delegation in the country) and a large number of civil society organizations. The first day focused on capacity building of CSOs about the aid global effectiveness agenda as well as on the position of the European Commission towards the upcoming Accra Review Forum. The second day focused more specifically on development aid in the Gambia, with presentations on the EC Delegation cooperation in the country and the partnership between the EC Delegation and the NAO Office. Lively debates followed each of the presentations and all participants welcomed this workshop for being educative and opening space for dialogue between stakeholders of EU development aid in the Gambia.
