A new research programme, coordinated by EADI, the European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes will start 2 June 2008 with an official launch at the Residence Palace in Brussels.
The programme “European Development Co-operation to 2020″ aims at improving EU policy makers’ and other societal actors’ shared understanding of emerging challenges facing EU development policy and external action. The three-year project is funded by the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) of the European Union and organised around three major topics.
- New actors in international development
- Energy security, democracy and political development
- European development policy and climate change
